As far as I can remember I’ve attempted to work on a solo project since 2003. Since then I’ve contributed to numerous releases for tablist colleagues, live bands, hip hop groups, and yet only released a grip of scratch loopers for the scratch community. The closest to completing an album was back in 2014 and later it was scrapped because I felt that it wasn’t ready. So here we are again, collecting radiation from the computer screen and dust from sifting through dollar records. So why again go through with this now? No reason really. Maybe because I feel that I’ve matured and have learned from past mistakes to make it finally work.
Over the years I’ve learned so much from the people who I was surrounded by. Taking in as much knowledge from these creative individuals helped shape my comfort sound. Forever grateful for those who shared their gifts with me. Thank you.
It’s been a lifelong goal of mine to have my own project put out by a recording company. Sharing my music to the world to hear. Perhaps others may relate to these compositions. Hoping that what I leave behind an impression that will last and inspire others.
Ok, so what’s the deal with this entry? Ideally document the process and provide an open source template of some sort for everyone to look at for reference (if you’re into that sort of thing). Well, best of luck future Paul. Hope it all works out for you when you read this.
